Hello and happy Monday! As we start off another week, I thought we could all use these inspirational words:

“Replace fear of the unknown with curiosity.”

The Unknown is different for each of us. In a professional setting, the unknown may be all about running a business, going part-time, returning to the university for further studies, taking on a different job, using a new tool…

And, it’s interesting how we hold ourselves back when it comes to things that we are not familiar with.

Technology is something that brings out a lot of the “fear of the unknown” emotions in many workplaces. That’s why there are still a number of people and organisations that are finding it a challenge to embrace technology and tools like social media and online community engagement.

I wonder what would make a difference if we learn to be more curious about the things that scare us instead of ignoring or dismissing these things?

Perhaps, this week, we can show some curiosity towards at least one thing that we fear because of the unknown?

It can be about exploring the classifieds, adding someone new in our network, learning about a new tool, signing up for a new service…

Whatever it might be that you decide to do, I hope that you will find something that will inspire you.

Have a great week ahead!
